Mallory Mathison Inc, based in Atlanta, Georgia and headed by Mallory Mathison, is a fine interior design firm that specializes in classic residential and corporate design. Mallory’s strong foundation and extensive training in traditional design combined with her fresh and youthful attitude enables her to create statement interiors with timeless chic.

Mallory has recently launched her solo career in Atlanta. Previously, she spent several years training under and working for some of the design industry’s most highly regarded professionals. Fascinated by interior design from an early age, Mallory pursued her interest at the University of Alabama where she earned degrees in Interior Design and Art History in 2001. She then interned with a design firm in Charleston, South Carolina. This position led her to Atlanta where she secured a prestigious apprenticeship under Dan Carithers.

Following this internship she worked for two and a half years as a design assistant with Interior Views Inc, a small, high-end design firm in Atlanta. In 2004 she moved to New York to attend Parsons School of Design. Expanding her knowledge of fine antiques, she received a postgraduate certificate in Antiques and Interiors Connoisseurship. While in New York she worked with Alexa Hampton as a design assistant at Mark Hampton Inc. Her position at this internationally acclaimed design firm further refined her eye and broadened her range of fine residential design experience.

With a strong desire to return to her Southern roots, Mallory has based her new venture in Atlanta. This highly talented and energetic young designer defines her style as classic design paired with a distinctive vision for today. She incorporates regional art and spectacular finds from sources from throughout the country in her designs to create beautifully appointed and livable interiors with a sophisticated style.

Mallory Mathison Inc’s clients range from young professionals in small bungalows and luxury high-rise condominiums to families in larger estate-style homes. In addition, she has worked on vacation homes and second residences along with designing real estate projects for a local Atlanta development group. Mallory has completed residential and commercial design projects in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Georgia.

Locally, Mallory is an active member of and volunteer with The High Museum, The Atlanta History Center and The Junior League of Atlanta. In her spare time from the fast-paced design world she loves to spend time with her friends and travel both throughout the US and internationally. Her personal passions include collecting vintage design books and original art, historical interiors and entertaining. She credits legendary designers such as Billy Baldwin, Sister Parish and Mark Hampton for inspiration as well as the design greats of today, Kelly Wearstler and Miles Redd.
